I can set up creative gates (portals if you will) to the town as I have in other towns.  That won't be a problem.  If you want, you can set up an area and create a gate for each of the towns you want to go to, as well as nether. (Nether doesn't have to be obsidian.) 

You can go to Olyesti to the large sandstone structure in the corner and see the gates I've set up that go to the various areas to get some ideas.  Follow signs in Olyesti to "Gateways to the World"
