The Prank Club is here! You may be wondering, "How do I join this magnificent team? And what is the Prank Club? Why do I ask myself so many questions?" Well, wonder no longer! The Prank Club is a team of highly skilled individuals who seek each other out and commit hilarious pranks on each other.

How does one become a member of the Prank Club? Simply post that you'd like to join up in this thread. It's easier than being added to a spam email list!

Please observe the following rules when pranking:

  • Do not talk about Prank Club.
  • Do not talk about Prank Club.
  • You must prank only on the Vanilla server.
  • No destructive pranks. Don't break walls or items in the person's base. Don't set lava or fire traps.
  • No stealing. Duh.
  • Try to maintain the security of the person's base. If you add something that creates a dark space in the base, light it up. We don't want creepers blowing stuff up.
  • Pranks can have unlimited setup time, but please make sure it takes no more than 30-60 minutes to clean up. Filling a persons base with obsidian is not a good idea.
  • In general, try to be good-natured in your pranking. Cruel pranksters will be ejected from Prank Club and spanked with a fish.
  • Leave a sign to let the person know who they have to thank for your wonderful prank.
  • Have fun!

Yeah, I'm on vanilla server. Good luck finding my base. I wandered around for quite some time last night and even I'm not sure where it is in relation to the spawn  ;D

I'll put up a post on the vanilla server forum to see if anyone else is interested. I agree with Wolf that we should only prank people who sign up. Some people might get pretty upset if they log on and find their house filled with chickens or something.

6 months with no communication from the player would be ok with me. I think they've effectively abandoned their property at that point. If the person is still participating on the forums and vent, I'd say it's more of a case-by-case thing.

After months of harassing my ISP, I finally managed to fix my connection. Last night I was able to get a small base of operations started in a secret location  ;) I also saw some of the projects the others on vanilla server are working on. There are some large builds out there!

Unfortunately it was pretty late by the time I sorted everything out (after 11pm EST) so I didn't see many people on. I will be able to make it on earlier tonight, I hope.

Interesting. I don't think I'd like to live in that world, but I might like to visit it once in a while. Also, I saw in another post where someone suggested a Hunger Games type tournament. There are maps already made for this kind of event, so I think that running one wouldn't be too difficult.

Are there plans to upgrade to 1.3 when it goes live? I like some of the features, like the enderbox and the sand temples. Growing my own coco beans would be convenient as well. Cookies for everyone!

Oh, cool. I'm glad to hear that I can build a spawner trap. If one that I made is causing any problems, please let me know and I'll disable it asap. I tend to build them small and efficient, so hopefully there won't be any lag issues.

The hacking mods are of no interest to me since my preferences are for nearly a completely vanilla experience at this point. Being able to see through walls to find diamonds and whatnot would run counter to the kind of gameplay I prefer.

Speaking of PvP, I forgot to ask what the PvP rules were for both servers. I'm a generally peaceful fellow, but I don't mind mixing it up either. Is it every man for himself out on the frontier?
